A Debtor of Both: Man and Christ
I found the ministry of Witness Lee in 1982. During that time I was a little child. I liked to learn about God. I didn't have religious concepts except to enjoy God. As time went on during my teenage years I started to experience Christ in a deeper and more profound way. That is, I became familiar with the ministry of both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. As a result of my understanding of this ministry, especially the healthy practices of calling on the name of the Lord and prayer (Romans 10:13), I hungered more and more for reality: Christ Jesus Himself.
Therefore, at the age of nineteen, I gave myself to enjoy this ministry in both matters mentioned above. Because of my experience with this ministry, I felt that I was a debtor to both man and Christ (Romans 1:14). Therefore, I have to pass it on to someone, and the only way was that of preaching the gospel by leading people to the truth. I felt an urgent need to tell every single person around me about the marvelous writings of both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and how they had met my physical and spiritual needs in a very practical way. On the other hand, I felt indebted to Christ because He is the one that has made available these two brothers to release the unsearchable riches of Christ to us.
Finally, I really treasure this ministry because of my personal experience with it. I will NEVER abandon it for anything in my life.
